The commune of Chauray is organizing the 2nd edition of “ IT'S A TRAFFIC JAM IN CHAURAY ", a reconstruction of the iconic traffic jams of the 1960s, especially during holiday departures. If the commune of Chauray was not the site of a traditional traffic jam, it intends by this event, commemorate the traditional traffic jams at holiday departures on the islands of Charente-Maritime and give a nod to the currently recurring traffic jams on the A10 near the Niort area.

Already organizer of vintage vehicle gatherings, the municipality wishes, with its partners who are Automobile Club 79 and the association The Red Lantern 79, allowing owners of vehicles from the 50s to 70s to contextualize their vehicle by staging it in a dynamic manner.

Period clothing is recommended and appreciated for occupants, roof racks with luggage are of course welcome on cars, as are trailers or vintage caravans!
Period scenes will be organized and improvised. A parade of “Esprit Bouchon” elegance with awards ceremony "City of Chauray and the Automobile Club of Deux-Sèvres" and baptisms in classic vehicles will liven up the afternoon with car enthusiasts.

The group Yellow Bounce, whose repertoire is mainly built on traditional and swing jazz pieces, will make even the most daring shiver and dance!
