The Strides of the Maraisthon in Sansais-La Garette
Put on your running shoes quickly to actively participate in the first running event in France to have globalized, codified and traced an approach focused on sustainable development and ecology !

The decor
You are welcome in the lands of Marais Poitevin, this famous “Green Venice” extending from the gates of Niort to the Atlantic Ocean. This territory offers an incredible diversity made up of people from different backgrounds on a reduced surface area. In just around twenty kilometers and 110 hectares, the Marais Poitevin reveals three radically different faces. THE Wet marsh, with its aquatic labyrinth, the parched swamp and its vast fields of cereals as far as the eye can see, and finally the Maritime marsh, sculpted by the curves of the Aiguillon bay.
An eco-responsible event
Because the runners are above all nature lovers, Les Foulées du Maraisthon invites you to finance for a few euros, the replanting of the Marais Poitevin. This exceptional area, recognized for its beauty, needs to renew its trees, particularly the ash, which has been attacked by a fungus. We run and help replant. Simple and efficient.
