The “Conches & Rigoles” association, founded in 1985, organizes the last weekend of July this endurance race in a traditional boat : a sporting and cultural event to try in the heart of the Green Venice, an Amazon in miniature!

The 24 hours of the boat Saint-Hilaire-la-Palud
Over the course of a summer weekend, the convicts on the train compete day and night on a circuit of more than 2 kilometers with the winner being the crew which completes the most loops and whose record to beat is 72 laps. A real sports festival!
Un parade of Unidentified Floating Objects (UFO) made with recycled materials, water games, garage sales, aperitif-concerts… punctuate this fun and sporting event.

Le Poitevin marsh is crisscrossed by 8 kilometers of waterways, i.e. by 800 kilometers of primary network falling under the jurisdiction of the State via the Interdepartmental Institution of the Sèvre Niortaise Basin, by 1 kilometers of secondary network under the responsibility of the marsh unions and by 100 kilometers of tertiary network maintained by the owners of the property.
