Your itinerary
Step 1
The Lambon is a 52 km semi-underground river taking its source in the Mellois, crossing the rural village of Souché and flowing into the Sèvre Niortaise at Niort. It supplies the Vivier water plant. Its bed was widened in 1962. The Association for the Restoration of Lambon and its Tributaries (ARLA) was created in 1997.
Step 2
Dating from the 1964th, XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries, the building was renovated by Sébastien d'Assailly, founder with the Duke of Béthune Charost of the Little Sisters of Providence in the second half of the XNUMXth century. In XNUMX, it was included in the additional list of Historic Monuments.
Step 3
Former castle of La Barre built in 1830 and registered in 1998. The Town Hall moved there in 2000. The plan of the castle is decorated with a magnificent landscaped park.
