May 21 took place at Niort Tech a workshop on food waste management proposed by Niort Agglo and its partners.
The objective? Raise awareness among restaurateurs, butchers, caterers, traders, etc. to the reduction and recovery of bio-waste and supporting them in sorting at source, mandatory since January 1, 2024.

In the programme :

  • Intervention of the Niort Agglo waste service, presentation of the regulatory obligation and the proposed alternatives,
  • Presentation of the proposed actions by the CCI Deux-Sèvres and the CMA Nouvelle-Aquitaine Deux-Sèvres,
  • Exchange with solution providers and service providers.

Many restaurateurs responded to offersolutions for sorting and recovering their bio-waste. The CCI, the CMA, the Prévalec service of Niort Agglo as well as the CPIE intervened then the participants were able to meet service providers to tailor-made solutions.
