Maison de la Meunerie

La Maison de la Mounerie: Enter the Nieul water mill built in 1728. Still in operation, wheat is crushed there as well as buckwheat for the Puyletard mill located on the other side of the Autise river. At the gates of the Marais Poitevin, a stone's throw from the Royal Abbey of Nieul sur l'Autise, in the heart of this magnificent Little City of Character, discover the life of the miller in the early 1920s, his daughter Suzanne and his cat , Pompon, through a story told with a modern visit. Immersion in the life of yesteryear guaranteed.

All year round: guided tours, decorated bread workshop, mill explained to children, artistic workshops, evening at the mill...

Outdoor exhibitions: Perspectives on the past and Perspectives on the farm.
We speak: French, English
