From the graceful body of the Sèvre Niortaise flows the refreshing Coulée Verte, which is criss-crossed by the GR 36. Without ever leaving the banks, it's an invitation to go for a walk or cycle ride, or to go fishing or water sports. From the many footbridges to the locks and mills, via the Jardin des Plantes, the quays, the bridges and the Port Boinot, discover a green setting with gentle landscapes and finish your walk at the gates of Magné, after a stop under the age-old chestnut trees of La Roussille.
Along the way, Galuchet is like a forest in the water at the gateway to the town. This riverside site, with its meadows and small damp woods, is home to the largest heronry in southern Deux-Sèvres, the Alpine Rosalie (a large protected beetle), the guinea fern (a flower with large mauve bells)...
